Hello again,

Mark Doyle’s record label Fierce Angel is celebrating five fabulous years in business with an amazing new partner, the legendary label Strictly Rhythm. The first release to benefit from this relationship is the new compilation from Ibiza’s hippest hotel Es Vive, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

Two tracks from this compilation made it into the show this weekend: Soraya Vivian and production outfit Digital 96 with a cover of a disco classic by Lenny Williams “When I’m Dancin’”, remixed by Oxford Hustlers. And my favourite this weekend, the perfect Bassmonkeys take on Bonnie Bailey’s wonderful new song “The Little Things.” Love, love, love this track!

One of Grace Jones’ biggest hits was the second single release from her 1981 commercial breakthrough album “Nightclubbing.” The 2011 update of “Pull Up to the Bumper” is coming from Dionigi & Simon Faz, with Dany L on vocals.

Many very talented deejays and producers are coming from Belgium. Please let me introduce you to DJ Licious this time, who started his career as a deejay in 2005. His new epic and catchy song, “Africa,” with excellent vocals by Billie, has summer written all over it.

Track list:

1. Natalia Kills Featuring will.i.am - Free (Moto Blanco Club Mix)
2. SK8 - Crazy In Love (Phill Deacon Club)
3. Laurent Delkiet Ft. Jenna Donnelly - Taking Me Over (Original Mix)

DJ’s Favourite This Week
4. Bonnie Bailey - The Little Things (Bassmonkeys Mix)

5. Blush Ft. Snoop Dogg - Undivided (Morgan Page Club Mix)

The Retro Track
6. Dionigi & Simon Faz Feat. Dany L - Pull Up To The Bumper (Dionigi & Simon Faz Original Nu Disco Mix)

7. Soraya Vivian Vs Digital 96 - When I’m Dancing (Oxford Hustlers Club Mix)
8. DJ Licious Ft. Billie - Africa (Extended Mix)

Hi weekenders,

There is plenty to enjoy this weekend so please tune in! You will get Avicii's new track "Fade In To Darkness" and Leona Lewis' first new song called "Collide" to be heard since the release of her Number 1 album 'Echo' in 2009. What surprises me: both are using the same piano riff you might know from Avicii's instrumental “Penguin.” Do I smell trouble here?

Check out both tracks and let me know which one you like better: Avicii or Leona? E-mail me: mixgeselle@gmail.com; or get in touch on www.facebook.com/mixgeselle.

My favourite is coming from Hed Kandi residents Garrett & Ojelay with Nicole Tyler on vocals. I am so happy to finally have uplifting, funky feel-good vocal house back on air. “Love You Too Much” is a massive summer anthem. Ten out of 10!

My retro is finest “Disco House” by Rogerseventytwo (one half of TWR72) who samples a 1978 disco track by Sandy Mercer called “You Are My Love.” Amazingly, the song went unsigned for months and months until A-Trak snapped it up for Fool's Gold. “You Take Me Higher” is finally ready to go from a file-shared deejay secret weapon to a true club anthem for the summer.

You also don't want to miss a brilliant new Dave Audé original (“Holdin' On”) perfectly remixed by Ecotek & James Egbert, a great 2011 edit of “Learning” by first generation house producers Chocolate Puma. And finally some “classic meets house” by Athene Noelle with an epic track called “Innamorata” (“Love”), remixed by Loverush UK.

Loving all of the tracks this weekend, and I think you will, too. Enjoy!

Track list:

1. Abel The Kid & Keylanders Feat. Noemy - El Sol (Extended Mix)
2. Anthony El Mejor & DJ Nil Feat. Talya El Mejor - In Your Eyes (You'll See) (Original Mix)

DJ's Favourite This Week
3. Garrett & Ojelay Ft Nicole Tyler - Love You Too Much

4. Morgan Page, Sultan, Ned Shepard, & BT Ft. Angela McCluskey - In The Air (Extended Vox Mix)
5. Avicii - Fade In To Darkness (Extended Mix)
6. Leona Lewis - Collide (Extended Mix)

The retro track
7. Rogerseventytwo - You Take Me Higher (Original Mix)

8. Darkhill Feat. Christina B - Shake It (Swing Kings Remix)
9. Dave Aude Feat. Elijah - Holdin' On (Ecotek & James Egbert Remix)
10. Chocolate Puma - Learning (2011 Edit)
11. Alex Kassel Feat. Adam Joseph - Chasing the Dream (DJ Assad Club Mix)
12. Athene Noelle - Innamorata (Loverush UK! Club Vocal Extended Mix)

Hello, friends,

My favourite is kicking off the weekend this time. For the fifth single “Feels So Good” taken from Dutch superstar Armin Van Buuren’s latest album “Mirage,” he invited the vocal queen of EDM, Nadia Ali and Germany’s Jerome Isma-Ae to work on a bouncy progressive house remix. I am loving the result — 10/10!

Marc JB has over 40 No. 1 chart hits across the U.S. and UK to his credit with his remix team Bimbo Jones including a national No. 1 in the UK, co-producing Meck’s “Thunder in My Heart.” For his latest solo release, “Let It Go,” he teamed up with UK songwriter and in-demand vocalist Rita Campbell. The result: a solid, catchy track with quality vocals as always from Rita. Highly recommended!

It was in 1980 when U.S. funk/soul/disco group Kool & The Gang had a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 and UK top-10 hit with “Celebration.” Two top producers from Belgium — Guy’Do and DJ Rebel — took the track and made a feel good remake with the help of M.O. on vocals and Ian Prada on the remix. The retro track this weekend.

Tracklist:

DJ’s Favourite This Week
1. Armin Van Buuren Ft. Nadia Ali - Feels So Good (Jerome Isma-Ae Remix)
2. Ola - All Over the World (Chaill Club Mix)

7. Ministry Of Funk - Tuc Tuc (Original Mix)
8. Jonni Black Ft. Sandy Huff - It’s Your Life (Original Mix)
9. Marc JB Ft. Rita Campbell - Let It Go (Original Mix)
10. Tale & Dutch - Love Life (Rick’n'Ryan Club Mix)
11. StarKid Ft. Mark Viollet - Fallin (Original Mix)

Weekend Warm Up Show
With Andreas Hellmann

Live from Hamburg, Germany

It was in 2006 when locally known deejay Mixgeselle from Hamburg, Germany, decided to promote his sets on the No. deejay mix community and networl, mix.dj. He wanted to check what international listeners would think about his work. The stunning feedback surprised him, in a short time his uplifting commercial mixes entered the top of the community vocal and disco house charts, and a couple of Internet radio stations started to broadcast his sets. This is how the idea was born, to produce his own weekly radio show.
